Step 1:

Lay out the handkerchief. If you are using a rectangular handkerchief, fold it in half like this.

Step 2:

Take two of the tips and fold them into a triangle (since it is not square it is not exactly the same, but you will see that it is not noticeable in the final result).

Step 3:

Knot two of the ends.

Step 4:

Open it at the beak area, turn it over and tuck the knots inside.

Step 5:

Tie the ends together and join them together by making a knot. You can also put the ends into wooden beads, rings...
